Job Application and Interview Skills

 

 

MomCo at Grace has received a grant to provide workshops free of charge to young moms.

This workshop is designed to encourage and equip young moms as they take practical steps toward employment, education, and long-term stability. In a supportive setting, participants will learn how to present their strengths, prepare for job opportunities, and build confidence for interviews and the workplace.

    2. Developing a resume and cover letter
    3. Personal references
    4. What employers look for
    5. Dressing for the interview
    6. Interview skill building
    7. Common questions asked in an interview
    8. Plan transportation
    9. Setting career goals
    10. Childcare when working
    11. Educational services and opportunities
    12. Tuition reimbursement

Hands-on Practical Applications

You will complete a career assessment and take home: 

 

 

  • A resume and cover letter
  • A letter of recommendation
  • Your career assessment.

 

Participants will receive a notebook with the content of the class.

Funding for this workshop has been provided by a grant from MomCo, so there is no cost to attend.
